Joy among God’s angels … times 35

The hound of heaven refused to give up on the people in Sandan village. “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness
,” 2 Peter 3:9
(ESV) tells us, “but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance
“That village called Sandan, there was not anybody who was Christian,” said Megh Gurung, a Nepali C4C member and partner in ministry. “They were following (flesh) gods. I tried to share the Good News many times. I was praying for them since two years ago.
“But this trip God opened the heart and the gateway to heaven to them.”
Thirty-five people heard Megh and a brother in Christ share about Jesus in the village’s street on Wednesday, June 8. “I asked how many people are ready to accept Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior,” Megh said. “Immediately all of them raised their hands.”
All 35 attended worship on Saturday, June 11.
“How wonderful it was,” Megh said, adding he had never experienced anything like it – despite having preached the Gospel for many years all over Nepal and introducing countless souls to Jesus. “At that time the angels were dancing and singing in heaven.”
“Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents
.” – Luke 15:10
Imagine the joy when 35 came to Christ!
Church at Phulkharka.
Megh was in the district of Dhading on the northwestern edge of Nepal’s Central Region to visit his home village. He went to train members of the church, to dedicate the church that was rebuilt with C4C earthquake relief and recovery funds, and enjoy the “wonderful work of God.”
He was blessed to baptize 11 believers from the church he planted in Phulkharka. “All were young people,” Megh said. “I am proud of them.”
Then he went to Sandan and brought more new members into God’s family.
Training for all ages from six churches included praise and worship led by Megh’s son, Subash, and lessons by Megh on prayer, evangelism, discipleship, and faith.
