Favorite Scripture verse (and why): Isaiah 6:8. “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!’ ” This is one of my life verses.
Special “God moment” you’d like to share: The first mission to Haiti in the summer of 2005 was when we unknowingly climbed to Gentilhomme and met a pastor who said he’d been praying for two years for God to send help, and I got God bumps because I knew we were that help. We built our first church there. It was the beginning. We built two more churches in Haiti, are working on our fifth in Nepal, and built one church in Mozambique and one in Peru. Building up the church (the body of Christ) and building churches is a primary goal.
What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? It’s ALL about Him! It’s from Him and through Him and for Him, as it says in Romans 11:36. And it is because of Him that we are sent where others will not or cannot go. “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples” (John 15:8). To God alone be the glory — forever and ever. Amen!
