Arriving in Chalhua village in early May, I was greeted by Alisson and her female cousin Yamely, and we prayed with Alisson’s grandmother Teresa. Then I went to His church to pay the workers there. I was joined by Pastor Ezequiel and we gave some labor conditions, like no drinking, no smoking, etc. Also, I was visiting new believers and praying for them.
I went to the Mascho rural site outside of Chalhua village, where I did outreach of His word to lady Susana Obregon, a 45-year-old widow. She accepted the Lord Jesus in her heart in a prayer and asked for healing from an accident in a van in March.
I visited new believers, Eusebio and Claudia Zavala from Chalhua village, who were suffering head pains from 2012 on. God delivered them, and now they are showing joy and faces of happiness. They told me they will come to praise Him when His church opens its doors. Eusebio worked one day in His church and he will work again another week.
Healing hand on 97-year-old new believer.
I was visiting the aunt of a new believer in Chalhua. Estenio Garcia, a 97-year-old man, is in bed with pneumonia and he received the Lord Jesus in his heart and I prayed with him for healing. Hallelujah!
Another day, I was visiting the construction and Pastor Ezequiel, Brother Ivan and I walked 40 minutes to a stone factory on the way to Contrahierba Mountain. We needed more stones so I decided to purchase them there, but we prayed to God that He may touch the heart of the owner named Ladislao. Wow, God worked so when we arrived, Ladislao asked me: “What do you need stones for?” I said, “We are a new church and for it will be purchasing, um, well…” “You can get any stone – only you pay me the transport, OK?” Ladislao said. Praise God! I got his hand to thank him and I was telling him, “God bless you, man!”

The next days the workers were selecting stones in the factory site and moving them to our building place on a truck that we paid for cheap.
Pastor Ezequiel told me that he talked with the advisor of the mayor of the Yanama district to coordinate, if necessary, the use of its truck to move earth from the Chalhua road to the building place. I was visiting the Yanama mayor and he told me that in any moment that we need he will order support to us.
The last day there I was praying with Pastor Ezequiel to God so He may give us His favor to His Church in His mountains! Then I delivered the balance of building fees and I said good-bye to Alisson’s family and friends from Chalhua village and Mashco rural site.
Expense report: Land for the church at Chalhua was purchased for US$1,550 in January. Construction on the church began with US$1,370.42 in funds in late April. An additional US$1,027.37 was wired May 31 for the continuation of building in June. Total cost to date is US$3,947.79.
Later in May in Lima city, I was visiting my family, Climbing For Christ member Angel, and brother Abel Bardales. We had a special time to share, pray, and also visit a church. I met with a Christian lady named Ruth, who delivered some clothes to give to the farmers, a pack of delicious chocolates that Alisson likes, and a dress shirt that I will take to Chalhua.
I was visiting brother Alejandro, who is the National Director of the Bible League of Peru, and we talked about special lessons and education supply to His Church in Chalhua village. I purchased a study Bible for brother Ambrosio from Carhuapara, a rural site of Chilcabamba village. He wants to assist Pastor Genaro with worship there. So Hallelujah!
