Working on the church and the Church at Chalhua Jaime Servat spent half of November in Chalhua, leading worship three times a week at the church Climbing For Christ built and going to “His church altar to pray to God every day with passion to see His hand in Chalhua and other villages.” God led several people from other villages to Climbing For Christ’s Peruvian missionary. “One day I was visiting some new believers from Mashco and I met Jhon, a 25-year-old who heard His (call) to receive the Lord Jesus,” Jaime reported. “So I ministered to him and ...

Returning to the scene of the sublime Climbing For Christ’s Peruvian missionary, Jaime Servant, returned in September to an area visited by our Mission: Peru 2015 team in July. Here is his report: I arrived in Jancapampa village (Pomabamba province) the morning of Thursday, Sept. 3, and hiked about one hour to get to the home of the Vega family (Victoria, Dina and Enrique, who received the Lord Jesus Christ in their hearts under prayer during Mission: Peru 2015). I met Victoria’s husband, Guillermo, who had not received the Lord Jesus during our mission outreach. But I was in...

Photo of the Week: Mozambique Photo of the Week by Gary Fallesen: Pastor Felix and his wife celebrate the construction of the church they shepherd in Milatu, Mozambique during Mission: Malawi 2014. We have been blessed by precious moments of sheer joy exhibited by pastors on the receiving end of a church building provided by God through Climbing For Christ. Meeting our brothers and sisters in the church at Milatu, Mozambique while on Mission: Malawi 2014 was a taste of heaven. There was singing, dancing, hugging, and smiling. It was a time of praise and giving thanks. The church was our sixth build globally and ...

Photo of the Week: Peru Photo of the Week: The church at Chalhua, Peru by Jordan Rowley. Jordan Rowley took this week’s photo on July 24 during Mission: Peru 2015. This is the house that God built through Climbing For Christ. The church has its roots in our first Evangelic Expedition to Peru in 2011. A woman in this village in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range started a church in her house in 2009. By the time our team arrived in May 2011, the believers had outgrown the woman’s house. She and a visiting pastor from a large Pentecostal denomination asked Climbing For Christ to build a church in tha...

In step, every step Story and photos by Jordan Rowley Climbing For Christ spiritual coordinator We rejoice in the work our great God accomplished in some of the most rugged and remote corners of the Cordillera Blanca range of the Peruvian Andes during this mission. Many sick and afflicted were prayed over and cared for. Many believers were encouraged and edified. New Testaments were distributed to those in need of God’s precious Word. A church that God used Climbing For Christ to construct was celebrated and dedicated. Sixteen souls – more than half of whom had never heard o...

Monday, July 27 God had another appointment for us today. As we met with Taina, we discovered her left hand is severely burned. We brought her to the hospital, but they said they wouldn't be able to see her until Thursday. So we went to a clinic instead. Her burns were cleaned and redressed and she was prescribed antibiotics and pain medicine. I believe that the Lord brought us to her just at the right time...

Help in time of need “I am telling you the acts that God allowed in my missionary journey, by His grace.” This is how Brother Jaime Servat, C4C’s missionary to Peru, began his latest report from the field – which for the past several months has been Ecuador. The mission field is everywhere for God’s servants. Whether Peru or Ecuador, mountain villages or an ice cream shop, God’s children are “on mission” wherever their feet take them. Jaime’s February mission report began with him looking for a cup of coffee. “God guided me to a...

To Ecuador Climbing For Christ's missionary to Peru, Jaime Servat, has recently been ministering in the Andes of Ecuador. As in Peru, he's reached out to many remote farming communities. Here are a handful of his photos highlighting some of His (the Lord's) work. Jaime captured this stunning view of Chimborazo Mountain before trekking down to share the love of Jesus in Chinigua Village (at the bottom of the photo). After hearing the Gospel, these families (above and below) trusted Jesus to be their Savior. They also received a New Testament. Whether in the Andes of Peru or E...

¡Three Amigos! (left to right): Climbing For Christ spiritual coordinator Jordan Rowley, Peruvian missionary Jaime Servat, and C4C president Gary Fallesen in the Cordillera Huayhuash during Mission: Peru 2014. Jaime Servat dreamed about a big mountain, similar to Peru’s highest peak, Huascaran. The mountain was surrounded by foothills covered in beautiful fields of wheat. As he ran toward the fields he woke up. His heart was beating hard and he felt compelled to draw a picture of the vision he’d just seen. The following day he asked his mother what she thought the dream ...
