Morocco Trek 2015

Climbing For Christ was invited to North Africa in 2013 by a C4C member who was working with the unreached. There was a huge need for short-term teams willing to put on a backpack and trek into hard-to-reach places. It was made for us!

PRAY: For the Berber people, who were Christians until Arabic Islam arrived in the 7th century. Muslim Berbers also practice folk magic. Some individuals have accepted Jesus, but feel isolated and alone. Ask the Spirit to prepare more hearts in a country that is 99.98 percent Muslim and only 0.02 percent Christian.

GIVE: To support work among the Berber people and send laborers into this field.

Expedition Morocco 2015 Trip Report

God speaks in the Atlas Mountains By Gary Fallesen Climbing For Christ   Mohammad holds his Bible while preparing tea for family members. We were in the house of a Mohammad. One of the countless Mohammads you will meet in a country in which 99.6 percent of the population follows the Islamic prophet Muhammad. But this Mohammad is different. He is a follower of Christ. “You showed us the path so we followed,” he tells our companion on this trek into the Atlas Mountains. He makes it sound so simple. But there is more to the story of this Berber man, a devout ... Read more »

Dispatches: Morocco

Expedition Morocco 2015 By Gary F. C4C Sunday, Dec. 20 The man, let’s call him Mohammad, spoke about his persecuted life. His wife was unhappy with the choice he made several years ago and those who give credit in mountain villages, selling seed and fertilizer during planting season with the knowledge they will get repaid at the harvest, cut him off. Still, he endured. Truth will do that to a man. We met many of the first to believe in the Atlas Mountains. Each has a story to tell: persecution, perseverance, ‎trust, faith. The God of the Bible is with them. For others, He is... Read more »
