HIStory

Max Christopher Tilukay of Jakarta joined Climbing For Christ on June 13, 2005. JEJAK, the ministry Max helped form, had started in Indonesia in 2001 — around the same time God was directing the formation of Climbing For Christ half a world away. Max saw JEJAK as a Climbing For Christ on the local level. He wanted JEJAK to be a part of Climbing For Christ.

On June 13, 2007 — two years to the day that Max signed on — Climbing For Christ founder Gary Fallesen arrived in Jakarta for the start of Mission: Indonesia. On June 17, 2007, during an outdoor worship at Pasir Mukti, West Java, JEJAK was officially welcomed as the first Climbing For Christ chapter outside of the United States. Fallesen and Walter Casper IV presented chapter members with a banner.
