All four seasons at Mendon Ponds Park

Climbing For Christ board member Kevin Kimble said it well when he spoke of God "blessing us with all four seasons" as we hit the trails with Heritage Christian Services on Saturday, April 20th. At times it was sunny like summer, crisp like fall, and even snowy like winter. Of course, all along the trail the buds were beginning to pop as well, signaling the official arrival of spring.

Ready to hit the trail

We've been incredibly blessed by the wonderful fellowship and friendship that we've experienced throughout many seasons here in the Rochester area, as well as in the Adirondack Mountains. Here's what Heritage Christian Services', and C4C member, Diane Sturmer writes about our time together on Saturday:

"Adventure on the trails at Mendon Park on Saturday morning began with Mary Beth sharing a prayer. We met a fellow hiker that took our group picture and then we headed to the trails. We saw deer and a wild squirrel who took Jordan’s birdseed heart and ran away with it. We saw birds and enjoyed a peaceful time with friendships growing and much laughter.

Afterwards, we returned to the nature center for snacks, stories, music and devotions! Larry and I shared devotions. Jordan Rowley and Patrick Sturmer shared their gifts of music. Vonne led a time of dance with scarves. We were grateful for several Climbing for Christ friends that shared the adventure. We had a grand time!"

During our time, we also made sure to take a moment to pray for some of the needs of the group. Included in our prayers were requests for fruit and safety for Gary Fallesen and the team currently on the Morocco Trek. We thank the Lord for our wonderful time together and look forward to the next.

Consider joining us for our next  family-friendly, faith-building, friendship-growing event!
