Nationality: USA. Occupation: I serve my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ full-time. I’m a retired chemical engineer. I worked as a research scientist at Eastman Kodak (30 years) and at General Electric (2 years). Missions with C4C: Peru 2015.
How long have you climbed? I climbed only one Adirondack peak in New York State with Climbing For Christ’s Jordan Rowley. Type of climbing you do: Trekking.
Highlight of climbing career: My time with Jordan.
How long have you been a Christian? 40 years. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: Church greeter/usher, church cleaning/landscaping, church administration, outreach planning, street outreach, adult/child discipleship.
Favorite Scripture verse (and why): Proverbs 3:5-6 (“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”). It’s so hard to achieve (impossible without His help) and yet so worth remembering and striving for.
Special “God moment” you’d like to share: That day in November of 1975 when I was born again.
What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? Climbing For Christ is an open door to serve my Creator, Sustainer, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His precious human creatures, which is totally outside my comfort zone.
