Mission: 2019

The Master’s Mission

A “touch point” in my study Bible declares: “Jesus issued a mandate for all believers as citizens of His kingdom. Every believer is under obligation to preach the Good News of salvation. His command to ‘go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone’ is every believer’s mission.”

They called this “The Master’s Mission.”

That’s the theme of Climbing For Christ’s Mission: 2019. This Master Mission is based on Jesus speaking in Mark 16 after His resurrection:

And then he told them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.’

Climbing For Christ has been sent to the ends of the earth, to the mountainous places, where others cannot or will not go. As a member of HIS ministry you are called to serve this purpose in at least one of three ways:

1. Pray for the workers in the harvest field. Be a prayer warrior.

2. Give financially to support the work. Be a sender.

3. GO! Declare, “Here am I! Send me.”

Pray, give, GO! Consider these options as you read our Mission: 2019 plan. The sent ones will GO through the support of those who pray and give to the following places:

  • Nepal, February
  • North Africa, April
  • Indonesia, April
  • Turkey, June
  • “Mission: Possible,” postponed
  • Malawi, August
  • Pakistan, postponed
  • Nepal, November
  • Kilimanjaro, February 2020
  • Malawi, March 2020
  • Indonesia, April 2020
  • Nepal, May 2020

Dates and details for each of these trips will be announced in the weeks ahead as we continue to make arrangements and plan these 2019 Evangelic Expeditions. Anyone interested in GO-ing needs to email info@ClimbingForChrist.org and request a Mission Application to be prayerfully screened by our staff.

A brother serving full-time in an “M” country wrote in a devotional called “No Excuses”: “God struck Ezekiel mute, and while Ezekiel could not speak, God reminded him that he was a watchman: ‘You shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me’ (Ezekiel 33:7). … God was saying: ‘There are no excuses even the mute must shout out a warning.’”

May we be faithful may YOU be faithful to our calling to “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” May we follow in the footsteps of those first apostles of Jesus, who witnessed the LORD being taken up into heaven to sit in the place of honor at God’s right hand. “And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs” (Mark 16:20, NLT).
