Sunday in Malasi

There were 120 people in worship at the Monte Pou Kris church at Malasi on Sunday, Feb. 9. At the same time, 73 believers were worshiping at the church at Jimani, DR, and 41 at the young church at Mare Pitre, Haiti. There was no report from Gentilhomme.

Climbing For Christ's missionary to Haiti, Miguel Rubén Guante, visited Malasi and met with leaders to discuss the fourth anniversary celebration of the Malasi church in March. Miguel took one of the church leaders, who was suffering from a severe skin problem, to a nearby clinic as prescribed by Dr. Steve Quakenbush of Canon City, CO, USA. Dr. Steve annually leads C4C's medical clinics on Mission: Haiti.

We also requested a report on a woman suffering from a cancerous growth in her mouth. God had put her suffering on our heart and we are working on a plan to get treatment for this tumor.

Miguel visited the run-down home of an elderly woman in Malasi whose house will be rebuilt by Climbing For Christ using funds donated by the children in the 2013 VBS program at First United Methodist Church in Canon City, CO. Miguel was making plans for this build.

We also are reviewing an agricultural budget to provide seed and fertilizer to farmers in the C4C-supported villages as March is the time for sowing.

Our prayer is for people to answer the call by the One who provides to contribute to support the many areas of ministry being carried out in Haiti, serving the vast spiritual and physical needs.

The Word

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.” – 2 Corinthians 9:10 (ESV)
