HAITI: It was the first day of classes for about 50 students attending the Monte Pou Kris (Climbing For Christ in Haitian Creole) school in the Dominican border town of Jimani. Because of budget cuts, C4C is supporting only the Jimani and Malasi schools in 2013-2014. We are attempting to raise US$1,000 support to construct a roof for the fledgling church and school in Mare Pitre. Another ministry can pay the teachers there if we can manage to put up a temporary structure to house school children during the week and worshipers on the weekend. In the meantime, indigenous missionary Miguel Rubén Guante was busy purchasing school notebooks and pens for the students.
PAKISTAN: Hundreds of villages were underwater in several districts in the Punjab province as most of the rivers overflowed during monsoon rains. “I would like to ask you to pray for the affected people, who are suffering by the heavy flood,” said Evangelist Haseeb of C4C-partner ministry Save Pakistan. “Your prayers can change the situation.”

“Save Pakistan is planning to reach out to the affected areas to see the present situation and their basic needs,” Haseeb said.
Save Pakistan has been gearing up for the annual Mariabad Mela festival in early September, hoping to distribute Urdu Bibles to new believers. Funding is needed to assist Save Pakistan in the purchase of Bibles.
PERU: Funding for the completion of the church at Chalhua was wired to indigenous missionary Jaime Servat. Jaime also needs to undergo surgery for the removal of a painful cyst behind his knee. Please pray for Jaime’s recovery and return to ministry, and for the church’s completion.

A Trip Report from last month’s Mission: Peru 2013 will soon be posted and news about Mission: Peru 2014 will be announced. Stay tuned.
UGANDA: Funding was wired for an upcoming outreach by Ugandan C4C member Pastor Rich Friday’s ministry to the Rwenzori mountain people along this nation’s western border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. We are praying for this divinely inspired event in Central Africa.
Pastor Rich's orphanage continues to struggle to survive, although they recently enjoyed a respite from the day-to-day trials when their school's boys' team finished second out of seven teams (losing in the final on penalty kicks) and the girls were fourth out of seven at a local football tournament.
