Adreian "Ace" Concordia

Ace Concordia, teaching in Tacadang.

Nationality: Filipino. Occupation: Businessman. Missions with C4C: Indonesia 2012, and 15 expeditions in the Philippines from 2008-2013.

How long have you climbed?  10-plus years. Type of climbing you do: Hiking, trekking. Highlight of climbing career: Reaching the village of Tacadang on the first mission climb in the Philippines on July 31, 2008.

How long have you been a Christian? Sept. 15, 1991. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: Climbing For Christ.

Favorite Scripture verse (and why):  Joshua 1:1-9. The Lord gave me this verse in my early walk with Him because He knew this is what I lacked.

Special "God moment" you'd like to share: One of the very first activities C4C Philippines did was to climb the second-highest mountain in my country, Mount Pulag. The goal was to give away Bibles and climb to the summit. It ended in failure due to a huge storm that did not allow any climbing group to summit. I was murmuring to God about how embarrassing that first climb was because we didn’t summit. But the Lord spoke to me and said, “But you see that’s what C4C is all about, it has never been about the summit. It is about the people on this mountain, and the Bibles that you gave away. Isn't that more worthwhile than any summit?” That’s when I realized that God truly is wiser and that I have much to learn about His plans.

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? C4C is the revelation of the truth that God does have grand plans for all of us who choose to follow Him. I never would have thought of doing the things I do now on missions and going to the places that I’ve been if the Lord had not made me part of C4C. C4C is now and always will be a great turning point in my ministry life.
