Building the Church
Mission Moment: Mozambique (April 25)
Climbing For Christ has been blessed to build one church in Central Nepal and is working on a second church in Nepal's Mid-West District; three churches are built in Haiti and we have another church under construction in the Haitian community in Jimani, Dominican Republic. We are praying about the possibility of building a church in Chalhua, Peru as part of Mission: Peru 2012 in July. We also have an opportunity to build a church in Mozambique. Here are the details:
It is estimated to cost US$9,500 to finish this church in Mozambique.
“The people in Mozambique made bricks for their church building, but (they are) lacking finances to build it,” said Pastor Duncan Nyozani of Searchlight Ministries. Duncan oversees the Far & Wide Children’s Home, a Malawi orphanage that is supported by Climbing For Christ’s Project 1:27. Climbing For Christ also assists Duncan, whose ministry has four churches (three in Malawi and one across the neighboring border in Mozambique).
“They are having Sunday services under a tree, and the pastor has been asking me for this (help with the church building) many times.”
Climbing For Christ will continue to build the church — both the body of Christ and physical houses of worship — in the nations where He is sending us.
