The quote of the weekend: “It wouldn’t be the Hilton Applefest without a Walking Taco.”
A foodie couple came to Climbing For Christ’s booth on Sunday to mark an annual tradition – consuming one of our Applefest favorites. For years we have sold “mountain-fresh” smoothies, pulled pork sandwiches, and the famous Walking Taco (a bag of Doritos filled with taco fixings). Applefest is one of Climbing For Christ’s bigger fundraising events and, despite some rainy weather, we were blessed to net more than $4,500 in the two-day event.
Applefest wasn’t the only source of income over the weekend. A team of eight (in photo) exceeded our goal of $4,100 in the annual Photo Finish 5K philanthropic run Saturday morning. Thanks to Team C4C!
