Nationality: USA. Occupation: CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). Missions with C4C: Ararat 2015.

How long have you climbed? Since 2011. Type of climbing you do: Mostly hiking.  Highlight of climbing career: Three years ago I climbed my first mountain. We didn't summit, but we did climb over 16,000 feet. After that first climb I couldn't wait to go again.

How long have you been a Christian? Since 2009. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: Koinonia, campus ministry at Missouri Southern State University.

Favorite Scripture verse (and why): Joshua 1:9. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” The promise in this verse has gotten me through many hard times.

Special “God moment” you’d like to share: Recently God has been working in my life through, what I consider, my weaknesses. I have always been the follower type, but this semester I was asked to step up as a leader at Koinonia. I am so glad they did. I know God is using this to mold and shape me. Being a leader has also given me the confidence to start a woman’s Bible study on campus.

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? It’s giving me the opportunity to do something I’m passionate about. This will be my first, hopefully, of many missions with C4C.
