Celebrating Easter with those who are not Fatherless

Save Pakistan, our persecuted ministry partner, celebrated the joy of Resurrection Sunday by doing as Jesus instructed: reaching out to the least of those in their own community. That would be the “marginalized Christians” living in Save Pakistan’s Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria.

“We had an Easter celebration with 90 orphans to encourage them that the Lord always loves them and He is extending His helping hands for them in different ways in their lives,” said Evangelist Haseeb, a C4C member and the founder of Save Pakistan Ministries.

“My wife taught them why we celebrate Easter – because Jesus died for our sins and the third day He rose. Jesus gave His life to give new eternal life to all sinners.”

That would include even those mistreating or tormenting our brothers and sisters. “For all fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

As we lift Save Pakistan in prayer – for protection and continued boldness in the face of opposition – we also pray for those who oppress the ministry. We pray for those who do the persecuting (Matthew 5:44).

We know that our loving God is ready to be recognized as Father to all who will humble themselves, accept His Son as their Lord and Savior, and turn from their sinful ways.

“Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.” – Psalm 68:5 (ESV)

Save Pakistan prepared food packages for the 90 orphans, who, Haseeb said, “are in great poverty and marginalized by society. We gave them hope through handing out their Easter gifts, which the Lord provided.

“All of the children were smiling and so happy to get their food package and my heart filled with joy to see them. I'm really thankful to God.”

Haseeb added that he and his family are “also thankful to you for supporting us and standing with us spiritually and financially.”
