Mission: Peru 2026

Bringing hope back to Callejón de Conchucos

By EDWIN MILLA, Kingdom worker

In May 2026, the Climbing For Christ (C4C) team will return to Callejón de Conchucos, a remote region in the northern highlands of Peru where the ministry began its first missions in 2011 and 2012. This Andean territory, characterized by imposing mountains, rugged geography, and difficult roads, is home to communities that, despite their cultural richness and natural beauty, have historically been marginalized and forgotten by government authorities.

Why return to Callejón de Conchucos?

Because men and women with a deep cultural identity, ancestral traditions, and deep-rooted spirituality live there. However, they face a reality marked by isolation, lack of resources, and limited Christian presence or pastoral accompaniment. Many of their villages are separated by long distances of dirt trails and roads, making each visit a true challenge, but also an opportunity to bring hope to those who have rarely been reached.

Our goal is not only to physically reach these places, but to approach each person with humility, empathy, and respect. Before sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, we first want to listen, learn, and understand their ways of life, their ancestral beliefs, and their way of seeing the world. We believe that the Gospel is transmitted most authentically when it is shared within a framework of love, sincere dialogue, and mutual trust.

HERE AM I. SEND ME! We will GO in mid-May. Email info@ClimbingForChrist.org if you are interested in serving a hard-to-reach people in a hard-to-reach place. This will be a strenuous – but highly rewarding – trek.
