Christopher Michele

Nationality: American. Occupation: Government worker. Missions with C4C: First.

How long have you climbed? About 20 years. Type of climbing you do: Hiking, mostly. Colorado fourteeners, Appalachian trail and similar. Highlight of climbing career: Summiting Adrianne's first 14'er with her. Other highlights include experiencing beautiful sunsets, sunrises, rainbows and various wildlife and flora blessed to us by God! I'll save sharing the "got caught in a thunderstorm at 14,433 feet" for another time!

How long have you been a Christian? 39 years. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: While living in Colorado our ministries included serving in hospitality, welcoming, and security committees. In Virginia the majority of our ministry is sharing of fiscal blessings and leading bible discussions at work. We are extremely excited to expand that ministry to the men, women and children overseas!

Favorite Scripture verse (and why): The story of the prodigal son has always moved me. The
following line in particular: "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him." This verse talks of forgiveness that I've been given by Jesus, my own parents, and my friends. It reminds me to offer that same forgiveness.

Special "God moment" you'd like to share: When I met my wife in church!! One of those,
"hey, maybe I should listen to this one!!" kind of moments. Ten years later, all's well!

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? Climbing For Christ means the opportunity to
share all that we've been blessed with in a new and exciting way. Meeting new people, making
new friends, all in the name of Christ, and growing in our walk with him.
