John Mollel, Climbing For Christ’s Kingdom worker in Tanzania, snaps a selfie with C4C president Gary Fallesen, C4C Africa Coordinator Damson Samson, and fellow guide Gift Mbayu in the background on Mount Kilimanjaro’s Barranco Wall.

Nationality: Tanzanian. Occupation: Mountain tour guide. Missions with C4C: Kilimanjaro 2024 (Part 1 and 2) and 2025; Malawi 2025.

How long have you climbed? Since 2014. Type of climbing you do: Hiking/trekking. Highlight of your climbing career? My highlight, so far, is the establishment of my own trekking company, C4C Maasai Brothers & Grand Tours. After a long time dreaming, by the grace of God, this year it happened.

How long have you been a Christian? Since my childhood (attending Catholic church with his mother). Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in? Teaching others about the Good News of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Favorite Scripture verse (and why) : My favorite scripture verse is John 3:16-17 because it always remind me how God loves us so deep to the extent of offering his only beloved son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins

Special God moment: It was 2015 at Himo when I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at a Climbing For Christ meeting.

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? Climbing For Christ has played a significant role in my life since I joined because it’s through it that I received Jesus Christ. Since then I was a Born Again Christian.
