Food relief for Malawi

Climbing For Christ was blessed to send more than $13,000 USD to Malawi to help with the latest food crisis. Funding was divided between our Kingdom worker Damson Samson and ministry partner Duncan Nyozani. Damson will be feeding widows for the next three months. Duncan used the $6,659.95 in funding to provide 232 families and another 150 individuals with maize on Sunday, Jan. 19. In all, Duncan purchased 260 50-kilogram bags of maize. We thank God for HIS provision.

A truckload of food was delivered to members of Duncan’s churches in southern Malawi. “Keep on praying as we are remaining with another two tough months,” Duncan said. “We will be OK in March because we will be eating green maize.”

“This food supply will last for 2-to-3 weeks, depending on the size of the families,” Pastor Duncan said. “All church members are very thankful for the donation. They went back home with great joy.

“A lady who stayed three days without eating food due to hunger shed her tears when she received a bag of maize. She said it was like she was dreaming.

“Many people didn’t know that there was food distribution after the Sunday service. To them it was a surprise. Some said they will work hard in their farmlands this week.”
