Brandy Everts on Mission: Possible 6, walking with a child in that restricted country.

Nationality: Canadian. Occupation: Coordinator of Climbing for Christ Canada and greenhouse horticulturist. Missions with Climbing For Christ: Haiti 2013; Morocco 2013; Nepal 2012 (twice) and 2014; Nigeria 2011; and Mission: Possible 2009, 2010 and 2011.

How long have you climbed? I have no experience technical climbing, but I love hiking and trekking! I have been focused on hiking and trekking since 1997. Type of climbing you do: Hiking and trekking – or whatever needs to be done to get to the people group we are trying to reach. Highlight of climbing career: Every trip has a new climbing highlight! But the most recent was hiking in the Langtang National Park in Nepal and watching our Nepali Brothers passionately preach Christ and seeing the people respond and declare “Jesus Christ is Lord.”

How long have you been a Christian? 17 years. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: Climbing For Christ Canada and on staff with Climbing For Christ … as well as with the youth/young adults in my church in Canada.

Favorite Scripture verse (and why): “…so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.– 1 Peter 4:11. This is what we are called to live out.

Special “God moment” you'd like to share: I love it when we pray and we see God answer our prayers! One day my mom had misplaced a box full of seeds and she had already looked for several days. She had asked my help and, after several hours of us looking through every cupboard, we prayed and asked God to help. We kept looking, and then I started getting frustrated and wandered aimlessly through our living room. I looked in another box, no seeds. I looked behind the chair, no seeds. I then noticed a box, and moved the sign that said, “LIVE like there’s Heaven on Earth.” And there it was! God is good and has a sense of humor!

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? C4C means to me an organization that is seeking God’s direction in all that they do, and turn everything back for His glory! It is focused on His Kingdom and HIStory. I love Climbing For Christ and am stoked to see all the little puzzle pieces that come together and make the huge picture for His glory.
