DISPATCH: Monday, July 23

Before breakfast this morning in Coihuairanan, Jaime introduced me to a 12-year-old boy named Diego. We shared the Gospel with him and he was ready to receive the Lord. What a blessed way to start the day!

We then broke down our camp and headed to Chilcabamba, which is a village Jaime visited a few months ago. We reestablished several contacts and made some new ones as well. One of those original contacts was a Christian woman named Carmina. She is one of a handful of Christians in the village. (But we hope to change that and add to her number.) As we were talking to Carmina we learned that she and her children often walk 3 hours to the nearest Christian church. She asked us to speak with her husband, who was an unbeliever. After about 45 minutes of sharing the Gospel with him, he prayed to the Lord for salvation. We then went inside their home, prayed and sang worship songs.

“And Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house…’ ” — Luke 19:9 (NKVJ)
