DISPATCH: Wednesday, July 18

To acclimatize, Edwin chose a simple trek around Willkacocha, which is Quechua for “Grandson’s lake.” At about 11,000 feet we enjoyed the fellowship and the view of the breathtaking Cordillera Blanca range of Peru’s Andes mountains.

We saved our devotional for our time at Willkacocha to talk about God’s wonderful plans for the next few days. We referred to Acts 5:39, which says, “but if it is of God you, cannot overthrow it — lest you even be found to fight against God.” We know that bringing the Good News into the mountains of Peru is of God so we move forward in confidence that no man, woman, principality, power or ruler of the darkness of this age can thwart God’s plan of preaching the love and truth of our Gospel to all people God places in our path. Gloria dios!
