Nationality: Filipino. Occupation: Freelance voice artist, children’s book author. Missions with C4C: Philippines 2011 (Feb., June & Oct.), 2012 (March, May, July & Nov.), 2013 (March & Sept.) and 2014 (March).

How long have you climbed? Since 2008. Type of climbing you do: Trekking. Highlight of climbing career: Survived getting lost for 18 hours on a search-and-rescue training. Parts of it without food and water.

How long have you been a Christian? Since 2010. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: Worship team.

Favorite Scripture verse (and why): Romans 12:1-2. By focusing on God’s good, pleasing and perfect will for my life, I would not shortchange myself on the cheap and temporal things that the world offers.

Special “God moment” you'd like to share: The Lord told me a story about how Jesus pursued his bride, the church all the way to the very ends of the earth through evangelism. “As Christ loved the church…” (Ephesians 5:25) This inspired me to fly to Cambodia a few days after to surprise the woman who is now my wife.

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? It is a great opportunity to use talents and hobbies for the spreading of the Gospel; not just through mission climbs, but also through relationships formed when we invite people who “hate” church (Sunday, building, etc.) to the church (other Christians, sharing lives, spiritual family) through outdoor events.
