How long have you climbed? 20 years. Type of climbing you do: Rock and ice and everything in between. Highlight of climbing career: Deep water soloing in Vietnam and summiting Denali with a fellow believer.
How long have you been a Christian? Since February 1997. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: College Ministry Leader at Hinson Baptist Church.
Favorite Scripture verse (and why): I have been blessed by the change of heart that is reflected in the attitude of Romans 12:2 followed by Colossians 3:17 and finally Philippians 3:13-14, which drive me to a new way of life and purpose. To God alone be the glory.
Special "God moment" you'd like to share: Watching my wife come to know the Lord. Also by the encouragement of "after-reports," where I hear of others who God allowed me to invest in and where He has brought them in relationship to Him, even years later.
What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? In the name - an assignment of purpose and reason for seeking the peaks, remembering as Psalm 24 tells us that the hill of the Lord can only be approached by a righteous heart, and that we are only righteous in Christ. C4C exposes the needs of the world in places that otherwise would be missed or neglected and it is a blessing to be able to partner with them and the local churches they work with.
