Mission: Indonesia 2013
Date: May 2013. Length of trip: 10 days. Team size: 4-6 members.
Purpose: To trek Mount Rinjani, an active volcano (12,224 feet/3,726 meters) on the island of Lombok. The volcano is located in a national park surrounded by Sasak villages. There are an estimated 540 Christians living among a people who number 2.7 million (0.02 percent). Our team also will visit a village on Java, where we have been serving since 2007.
Cost: Estimated at US$750 plus airfare. The estimate includes includes ground transport, accommodations, food, and trekking expenses. Does not include airfare.
