Prayer Peak Days 2012

The 15th annual Prayer Peaks Day is Saturday (always the Saturday before the Fourth of July), June 30, 2012.

God gave me this vision of masses of Christians praying specifically from the 54 Colorado Fourteeners. I never would have imagined brothers and sisters in Christ would be joining us from peaks/high places all over the United States and in the Philippines, Africa, Europe and South America on a common Prayer Peaks day over the years.

July 4, 1998 was the inaugural Prayer Peaks date — on our country's 222nd birthday. God gave me this vision to intercede for our nation because of my love for my country — and my hurt and pain over what has become of our nation. Also, my love of being out in His beautiful creation, specifically from my prayer times on the Colorado Fourteeners, is another reason for the birth of this national-day-of-prayer ministry.

I was not too surprised (though I was very hurt) that a little over three years after Prayer Peaks' birth date that we would suffer our worst attack on our nation in our HIStory — 9/11. And here we are today, where “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him” (Psalm 34:7) is no longer true of the United States. A nation that has been so incredibly blessed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, like our nation, and with all of the freedoms and prosperity that come along with it, cannot continue to shake our fists at God in rebellion toward Him and His ways and expect our nation to endure much longer. We all know the depressing statistics like our nation debt/deficit, divorce rate, crime rate, increase in erratic weather and devastating storms, and our nation marching to the idolatrous mantra of “pluralism” — our cultural norm that champions all religions as basically being the same and leading to the same place.

The only HOPE for our nation, I believe, is 2 CHRONICLES 7:14 — “If My people who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Prayer Peaks joins with a number of other 2 Chronicles 7:14 based ministries calling us to humble ourselves, seek His beautiful face and pray for our crumbling nation. Please join us out in the high-country on June 30 to humble ourselves before our loving Father as we seek Him through our Resurrected Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit that comes from intentional, purposeful and united prayer with brothers and sisters on various peaks simultaneously.

I highly recommend reading The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn that just came out several months ago to learn where our nation stands prophetically — an incredible eye-opener from this Messianic Jew from New Jersey: http://www.theharbinger-jonathancahn.com/

See you on the June 30 for Prayer Peaks!

Sincerely in Christ,
