Faith in Action: A Plea for Prayer
Is God really in control? Does He really have the power to move mountains? Did all those miracles in the Bible really take place? Would God really move in the same way today?
Chances are the majority of us reading this would answer a resounding “yes!” to each of those questions. But here’s another question to consider: Do we pray like we really believe all those things? In other words, is our faith backed up by our actions? Think about it. If we say we believe that our all-powerful God truly hears the prayers of His people and then He actually moves in response to them according to His perfect will, then why on earth do the vast majority of us Christians struggle to pray? Brothers and Sisters, the unfortunate fact is that at best most of us forget to pray and at worst many of us neglect to pray. But with that said, at the very least let us begin to pray – today!
This is plea for prayer. May we no longer only say and think that we believe in the mountain-moving, sick-healing, dead-raising power of prayer – let’s live like we believe in it! Let’s be faithful and fervent followers of the Lord Jesus beginning with our prayer lives. May we be a people who through faith in our prayer-hearing God, love prayer and are deeply motivated to lift the needs of ourselves and others before Him. In fact, let’s start now! Would you join us in lifting up a few general needs of HIS ministry of Climbing For Christ? Pray with us.
Heavenly Father,
We come to you now on behalf of a ministry both bearing and proclaiming the name of Your Son; the ministry of Climbing For Christ. We ask for wisdom and discernment to be poured out upon Your servants. Lord, we also ask that You would shield and shelter this ministry from any works of the enemy as You lead and guide us according to Your perfect will. We pray for you to provide for all of the needed finances to continue and complete all of the many works you have blessed C4C to undertake.
And Lord, please bless our partners, missionaries and their families from all over the world as well. Grant them greater boldness, greater understanding of the needs of those around them and, most importantly, grant them a greater love and compassion for all.
Please open hearts and open doors for Your precious and powerful Good News to be shared. Have Your good and perfect way in and through Climbing For Christ – whether through building churches, caring for orphans, providing medical care, the preaching of Your truth or the other good works You bless us with. Thank You Lord for all You have done and have yet to do. All praise, honor and glory to You!
In the wonderful name of Jesus we pray, amen.
