Gary Fallesen / Wednesday, October 3, 2012 / Categories: Nigeria, Mission: Nigeria 2011, Mission Moments Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 Chris Joseph was featured in The Climbing Way. He is a pastor in a country plagued by violence against Christians. We have assisted him in the battle that is waged there. Now this: The Community Chief, a traditional ruler of the kindred, hamlet or clan (irregardless of “the level of civilization and development that has taken place in their domain”), took back the hall Chris was sharing with another pastor. “The place is in a serious chaotic situation now,” Chris said in early August 2010. Chris and the other pastor were deceived by bad people who took advantage of them. But as the enemy shut one door, the Lord opened another. Another space for Chris' church was made available. This time by a person of higher integrity. To turn this empty space into a Spirit-filled hall would require US$1,200. Chris has pledged to pay back Climbing For Christ through tithing. Climbing For Christ believes this is a wonderful and blessed opportunity. Recently, Chris identified a group of people (the Koma Hills Dwellers), living in primitive conditions in a mountainous area, who we one day may be empowered to reach. It all starts with the heart of one national. By praying for and giving to the ministry the Lord has given Pastor Chris, we are furthering God's kingdom. Simple as that.
