Mark Tarnow

Mark plays the drums in the worship team at his church in Canon City, CO.

Nationality: USA. Occupation: Real estate appraiser. Missions with C4C: Nepal 2020.

How long have you climbed? Just a brief foray with rock climbing in Wales in 1987. Type of climbing you do: Not rock climbing; just stairs and hills. Highlight of climbing career: Probably this trip.

How long have you been a Christian? Since 1972. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: Worship team, Deacon/Deaconess Board.

Favorite Scripture verse (and why): Proverbs 3:5-6. It’s not about us. We can’t do it on our own. Submit and trust God.

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? Taking the love of Christ to the remote parts of the world. Simply demonstrating love and concern is just as important and effective as preaching and teaching. We like the multi-faceted aspect of C4C – supporting guides and porters, building churches and schools, and helping widows and children – all in areas where most Christians won’t go.
