Mission Moments: Malawi
God’s timing for a meeting such as this
Mulanje Massif Chapter evangelism training in Malawi introduces many to Jesus

The Muslim man attending our Mulanje Massif Chapter training in southern Malawi confessed that he’d never been to such a meeting. He said “it was a good time to have attended this training,” Climbing For Christ’s Damson Samson reported. “He is no longer the same.”
The man, Abrahim, became a Muslim background believer. He was one of eight guides and porters at the two-day training earlier this month to confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior. All of heaven rejoiced.

Samson Khalani, a member of the Mulanje chapter, gave thanks for Climbing For Christ’s “offering such a wonderful support to the porters and guides,” Damson said. “He said before C4C (began training sessions last year) his spiritual life was down. He was not a true Christian. But soon after joining Climbing For Christ he can see the hope for his life and those around him. He gave the example of the women who accepted Christ during evangelism week in the mountains in June last year, and they are still coming to Bible study and they are stronger in their faith than before.”
Damson met with 31 guides and porters. He shared about hope, which is only found in Jesus. “I strongly let them know how great it is to have the hope in the true Gospel you are sharing to others,” he said, urging them to believe what they are saying so they do not help others into the kingdom while they remain on the outside. “Further, I shared about the dry bones. These groups, they seem to have more bad behavior where different preachers can’t hope any life from them as Climbing For Christ is doing. I was letting them know that the impossible is possible with God.”
Some guides and porters have come into the meeting after drinking. We are praying for changes in attitude and lifestyle among these men and women.
“Some of them who were drinkers have stopped and started a new life with their family,” Damson said. “They are able to put together their homes. I, personally, thank heaven for the support given to them by Climbing For Christ. This is just God at work.”
We desire to increase Bible studies, deliver Bibles, and grow the evangelism training that has occurred seven times in the past 15 months. We will be holding one day of training on the mountain during Mission: Malawi 2017 in late June.
