Mission Moments: Malawi

Giving thanks to the Lord, for He is good

“People are always sending you millions of thanks for the food aid that God is providing through Climbing For Christ,” Pastor Duncan Nyozani said after the latest distribution of relief in southern Malawi.

Climbing For Christ has helped Duncan’s Searchlight Ministries purchase food each month since October 2016 for hundreds of people suffering from near-famine conditions in one of the world’s 15 poorest nations.

Project 1:27-sponsored orphans Jacquiline, left, and Catherine hold precious food (beans and maize). Willie of Searchlight Ministries, right, helps Pastor Duncan with the monthly distribution of food.

Two goats were added to the bags of maize and beans purchased to feed orphans supported by C4C’s Project 1:27.

“We bought two goats for the kids,” reported Duncan, no pun intended. “One was slaughtered a week ago and the other will be slaughtered at the end of this month.

“The kids are happy to have meat. They always eat things like vegetables, peas, beans, fish, soya pieces, etc.”

The Word
