Mission Moments: NEPAL

Building a foundation with Christ as the cornerstone

Land was located more than a year ago and prayers lifted that it would be the future site of the church at Kathmandu. For months those prayers were specifically directed at the ongoing work to get approval from city government to build.

Finally in November, construction began on a central house of worship for our Nepal ministry partner SARA (Savior Alone Reaches Asians).

Pastor Tej prays for the work on the church at Kathmandu.

Pastor Tej, the founder of SARA ministries and a Climbing For Christ member since 2009, has waited more than 15 years to have his own church. For years, SARA has rented rooms, often needing to move from place to place because of pressure on Christians in the predominantly Hindu and Buddhist nation's capital.

“... built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” – Ephesians 2:20-22 (ESV)

The start of this church has been funded by money from Climbing For Christ's Bob Busse Memorial. To support the work, send donations to Climbing For Christ, c/o Mission: Nepal, P.O. Box 16290, Rochester, NY 14616-0290. Or CLICK HERE to give online via PayPal.

Please pray for the construction of this house of worship and the growth of the church in Nepal.
