Mission Moments: PAKISTAN
Sewing and sowing in Pakistan
We have documented the persecution of our ministry partners in Pakistan – from physical attacks to the abduction and forced marriage of a dear sister and from relocating to restarting the work of the Lord in a hard place. Two Save Pakistan projects – a sewing center to empower women in need and orphanage care for lost children – are again underway to God’s glory.

Evangelist Haseeb, a Climbing For Christ member and Save Pakistan’s founder, said the sewing center “stopped for a while because we did not have the salary to pay the teacher. But, thanks to God, (his wife) is a master of tailoring. That’s why we have restarted (the sewing project) and she will train the students.
“After (his sister was abducted) we stopped the orphans care project, and (his wife) started it again. We have a proper orphanage now in a rented building. Right now we have 10 children and pray that the Lord may increase us and provide for all the needs for it.”
Among Save Pakistan’s current needs: 10 sewing machines, which cost US$100 each, and because it is winter Haseeb said “we need cots, blankets and warm clothes for our orphanage.” And, of course, prayer for protection and the work ahead.

The Word
“Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.” – Psalm 126:5-6 (ESV)
