Nationality: American. Occupation: U.S. Government employee. Missions with C4C: First.

How long have you climbed? Not an avid climber, but I go when invited. Type of climbing you do: I live on the top floor of New York City walk-up. Highlight of climbing career: Hiked and camped on top of Mount Pico in the Azores, Portugal. We practically died up there, but that’s a story for another time

How long have you been a Christian? Throughout my life. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: I’ve been a youth leader for over a decade. I love those kids more than I love Hawaii. And I really love Hawaii.

Favorite Scripture verse (and why): Psalm 23:1. It’s my confirmation verse so it’s special to me. It reminds me that I need not want for anything, for I already have everything in Jesus.

Special "God moment" you'd like to share: When I was invited to go to Nepal. And I immediately spit out “Yes.” That “Yes” was not of my own brain I assure you.

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? This is a ministry that’s up close and personal. I’m blessed to be friends with the president and his family. I witnessed the colossal faith needed for its launch, and I’ve watched God grow it and reclaim lives through it. To hear the outcome of each expedition and mission has been to watch God kick down the gates of hell one hiking boot at a time. And now I get to lace up my own and watch Him in action.
