Mission: Nepal 2014

PRAY: For workers to bring in the harvest in a country that is 97 percent unreached, according to the Joshua Project. Nepal is 81 percent Hindu and 9 percent Buddhist, according to its 2011 national census. Christians account for only 1.4 percent of the nation’s 30 million people, the census claimed.

GIVE: To the ongoing work being done in the Himalayas, including support of indigenous missionaries, the building of churches, distribution of Bibles, and assistance for orphans. Send donations to Climbing For Christ, c/o Mission: Nepal, P.O. Box 16290, Rochester, NY 14616-0290 USA. Or CLICK HERE to give online via PayPal.

GO: We have two short-term expeditions scheduled – March 22-April 6 and Sept. 6-21.

  • The March team will return to Humla in the country's Far West to continue the work of Mission: Nepal 2012 and Mission: Nepal 2013. Estimated cost: US$3,900 (depending on airfare to Kathmandu, Nepal).
  • In September, a team of trekkers will go to Makalu for outreach among the Sherpa people and another team will work in the SARA (Savior Alone Reaches Asians) ministry orphanage outside of Kathmandu. Estímated cost: US$4,500 for trekkers and $2,900 for the orphan team (all rates depending on airfare to Kathmandu, Nepal).
