Life-giving words of Jesus

“But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’” – Matthew 9:13

Almighty God,

We are so grateful for Your beautiful heart of mercy and compassion. You are so gracious toward Your created people. Thank You especially for the cross – the ultimate display of Your mercy. Lord, today we lift up those who do not know Your heart of mercy and Your desire to forgive through the blood of Jesus. We lift up those in the Hindu world who, day after day, make sacrifice and give offerings to gods who are not gods. We pray that You, the One true and living God, would deliver Your Gospel to them. Send Your Spirit. Send Your messengers. And open the eyes of many, that they would turn from their ways of human effort and run into Your marvelous mercy.
