DISPATCH: Wednesday, July 25

We traveled from Chilcabamba to Chalhua, where it was a joy to reconnect with Pastor Isabel as well as our precious Allison and her family. We spent much of the day in Machco, a neighboring village, where we invited many people to watch the Jesus film. We also had many opportunities to pray with a number of the people.

After we trekked back to Chalhua, we received word that Allison’s mother, who has epilepsy, just had a seizure. So the team divided into two groups: Justin, Franklin and Juan went to spread the Word throughout Chalhua, while Jaime and I went to visit and pray over Taina. Taina is very frustrated with her situation and how it affects her family. Please join us in praying for the Lord to minister to and heal Taina.

In the evening, we presented our team’s last showing of the Jesus film. About 40 people came to see the movie, many of whom prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior. The Jesus film has been a wonderful complement to our daytime outreach and Bible distributions. Many of the people cannot read; others are not able to attend a Christian church, so to be able to present a movie about the life and teachings of Jesus is a huge blessing. We give God thanks for all of the souls who have been touched during our Jesus film presentations.

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD!” — Psalm 105:1-3 (NKJV)
